Illinois CCDF Plan

The Child Care and Development Block Grants (CCDBG), supporting low-income working families with quality child care, were reauthorized in 2014. The update included a number of statutory changes on issues such as health and safety, staff training, background checks, family eligibility policies, payment practices, and quality standards to name a few.

States were mandated to meet with stakeholders, taking public comment into consideration, and draft a plan for implementing the new requirements. The Office of Child Care (OCC) has posted all approved fiscal year 2016-2018 Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Plans, along with each State and Territory conditional approval letter, to its website. In addition to the CCDF Plans, OCC has also included a Frequently Asked Questions page. To view the Illinois CCDF Plan with conditional approval letter for fiscal year 2016-2018, click here.
